Farmhouse Apple Cider Recipe

Nothing warms the soul quite like a hot mug of cider. Perfect for those chilly fall days, this seasonal treat inspired our homemade Farmhouse Cider soap.

We like keeping it simple here at Pacha, so Lacey Baier, from A Sweet Pea Chef, has one of our favorite cider recipes – it’s easy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts 100% apple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 apple unpeeled and cut in half
  • 1 orange unpeeled and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 tsp whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice

Directions

  1. Insert whole cloves into apple on both flesh and skin sides.
  2. Heat apple juice over medium heat in large pot.
  3. Once heated, add brown sugar and stir to dissolve.
  4. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer and leave 20 minutes.
  5. Remove apple halves, orange slices, cinnamon sticks and cloves from pot.

Now for the best part – grab your favorite pair of fuzzy slippers, a cozy blanket, and curl up with a mug of hot, homemade cider. We can’t think of a better way to spend the day…

Unless, of course, it ends with a relaxing soak in the tub!

Bring the warmth of delicious cider to your bath with our limited edition Farmhouse Cider bar soap. Delight your senses with notes of delicate spice, citrus, and fresh apple derived from a blend of cinnamon, clove, and sweet orange essential oil.
